The first council of the College of information Technology 2025-2026
The College of Information Technology at the University of Fallujah held its first meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the University President and Dean of the College, **Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad**, with the attendance of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, **Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Salah Farhan**, along with the heads of the scientific departments and members of the council.
The Dean opened the session by conveying the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, emphasizing the importance of **digital transformation in educational processes** and the promotion of a **research-oriented culture** through the formation of joint research teams with reputable universities inside and outside Iraq.
He also instructed that all necessary preparations be made to welcome the new students for the current academic year, ensuring the provision of classrooms, infrastructure, and educational programs that contribute to the success of the educational process.
Furthermore, the Dean stressed the need to develop strategic plans for the scientific departments, including organizing **workshops and training courses** for faculty members and students, with the aim of enhancing their efficiency and developing their technical and scientific skills.
For their part, the heads of the scientific departments presented the minutes of their departmental meetings, which included the formation of scientific, examination, and other subsidiary committees, contributing to the completion of the requirements for the new academic year and achieving a distinguished academic start that aligns with the college’s vision and its goals of advancing technological and informational education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President and Dean of the College expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the College Council members and their exceptional dedication in carrying out academic and administrative duties. He affirmed that such cooperation and integration in work are fundamental to achieving the college’s aspirations for a successful academic year filled with scientific accomplishments and improved university performance, in line with the objectives and educational mission of the University of Fallujah.
