Performance lndicator Catalogue (APl) Academic
Under the patronage of the University President and Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, a seminar was held on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, entitled:
“Academic Performance Indicator Catalogue (API)”, as part of the college’s plan to implement scientific workshops and seminars.
The seminar was presented by **Asst. Prof. Dr. Diaa Ahmed Ibrahim**, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, who discussed the mechanism for calculating the Academic Performance Indicator and explained the criteria for evaluating faculty members’ competence in the areas of teaching quality, learning quality, and international professorship standards. He also reviewed the periodic updates applied to the API Catalogue every four years to ensure transparency and enhance efficiency within the higher education system.
The seminar witnessed active participation from the college’s faculty members and those interested in quality assurance requirements. Several questions and interventions were raised regarding the mechanisms for implementing the API guidelines within academic departments in alignment with the **European Standards and Guidelines (ESG)for quality assurance.
At the conclusion of the seminar, emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening the academic work environment and improving teaching performance in support of the University of Fallujah’s efforts to efficiently and effectively implement the Bologna Process.
