The President of the University of Fallujah inaugurates the Student Open Day
**President of the University and Dean of the College of Information Technology Opens the “Open Student Day”**
Under the generous patronage of the President of the University of Fallujah and Dean of the College of Information Technology, **Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad**, the activities of the **“Open Student Day”** were officially launched on **Wednesday, December 31, 2025**. The event was organized by the **College of Education** and the **College of Information Technology** to welcome first-year students for the academic year **2025–2026**.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of academic and administrative staff members, along with a large gathering of students and their families.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Iraqi National Anthem, and a recitation of *Surat Al-Fatiha* in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the nation.
In his speech, the University President and Dean expressed his pride and pleasure in meeting the new students, emphasizing that the University of Fallujah strives to be a **warm and supportive academic home** for all its members. He highlighted the university’s commitment to providing an inspiring educational environment that fosters creativity and excellence, contributing to the development of students’ abilities and the refinement of their academic and personal skills in preparation for a promising future.
The Open Student Day featured a diverse range of **scientific, cultural, and artistic activities**, reflecting the students’ creativity and outstanding talents. The event concluded with the distribution of **certificates of appreciation** and the honoring of a group of outstanding students, in recognition of their academic excellence and as encouragement to continue their journey with determination and distinction.
This event comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to **strengthen positive communication** between students and academic and administrative staff, instill a sense of belonging and joy among new students, and channel their creative energies into constructive paths that contribute to building a conscious, qualified generation capable of serving society and supporting sustainable development.
