An awareness-raising seminar titled Traffic Safety: A Shared Responsibility
''College of Information Technology Holds a Seminar on Traffic Safety in Cooperation with the Anbar Traffic Directorate''
Under the patronage and attendance of the President of the University and Dean of the College of Information Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the Student Activities Unit of the College, in cooperation with the Public Relations and Media Unit of the Anbar Traffic Directorate, organized an awareness seminar entitled *“Traffic Safety is a Shared Responsibility.”* The seminar was held on Monday, 12/01/2026, in the central hall of the College.
The seminar aimed to enhance traffic awareness among the teaching and administrative staff as well as university students, and to promote a culture of adherence to traffic rules, which contributes to reducing traffic accidents and maintaining the safety of the university community.
The seminar included a lecture delivered by Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Ali Dhiab, Head of Public Relations at the Anbar Traffic Directorate, in which he reviewed the most important traffic instructions and guidelines, emphasizing the importance of complying with traffic laws and the role of individuals and educational institutions in achieving public safety and reducing traffic risks.
The President of the University and Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, also participated in the seminar with an awareness-oriented presentation highlighting the importance of traffic signals and their essential role in organizing traffic flow, stressing the necessity of adhering to them due to their significant impact on reducing accidents and protecting lives and property.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the President of the University and Dean of the College presented a letter of appreciation and a commemorative shield to the lecturer, in recognition of his distinguished efforts and effective contribution to the success of this awareness activity, reaffirming the university’s commitment to continuing such events that contribute to building a responsible and informed community.
