Under the patronage of the President of the University of Fallujah, the Acting Dean of the College of Information Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, and with the follow-up of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Nahla Hilal, the College of Information Technology organized a scientific workshop as part of Entrepreneurship Week activities titled:
**“Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age… National Digital Infrastructure First! Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity.”**
The workshop sessions were delivered by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Dr. Omar Salah Sharif; the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department, Associate Professor Dr. Diaa Ahmed Ibrahim; and the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Abdul Jabbar Al-Sabhan.
The workshop addressed a comprehensive roadmap for national digital transformation, emphasizing that success begins with establishing a strong national infrastructure that includes telecommunications networks, data centers, and digital identity.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of maximizing the use of national digital assets and government platforms to enhance digital trust, in line with a national vision supported by legislation and qualified human resources.
During the workshop, the role of artificial intelligence as an effective tool for automating processes and increasing efficiency was reviewed, with a focus on generative AI applications in developing smart reports and personalized services. It was also emphasized that cybersecurity represents a strategic element to ensure the sustainability of digital transformation when integrated from the outset.
The workshop further discussed the concept of the “gray zone,” which represents promising investment opportunities in electronic databases and digital markets, while establishing secure foundations to achieve gradual and sustainable progress in the national digital transformation journey.
