Under the patronage of the respected President of the University of Fallujah, the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training workshop entitled “Modern Networking Solutions from Technology Innovators,” with the participation of representatives from several local and international companies specialized in technological solutions, including Smart Developer Company and Business Land Company, the official distributor of TP-Link.
This workshop was held as part of the Cybersecurity Department’s program aimed at bridging the gap between academic and practical aspects in line with labor market demands and modern business solutions, by introducing students to the latest technologies used in networking and smart infrastructure.
The workshop included presentations on several networking scenarios and the challenges facing infrastructure implementation in different environments, in addition to showcasing the latest technological solutions provided by technology vendors. The workshop also addressed long-distance networking solutions in areas where wired infrastructure is difficult to deploy, through modern wireless Point-to-Point broadcasting technologies.
Furthermore, the workshop discussed challenges related to surveillance camera systems in mobile environments or locations where establishing wired infrastructure is difficult. Advanced solutions were presented, including battery-powered surveillance cameras and others supported by compact solar power units.
The workshop concluded with short assessments for participants, followed by the distribution of prizes to winning students from the Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence departments, amid positive engagement from attendees and praise for the importance of such activities in enhancing students’ practical and technical skills.
