The Student Activities Division at the College of Information Technology – University of Fallujah aspires to be a leading environment in developing the well-rounded personality of university students by providing scientific, cultural, sports, and technological activities that foster creativity, innovation, initiative, and teamwork, contributing to the preparation of a distinguished generation capable of competition and community service in accordance with quality standards and academic excellence.
Mission:
The Student Activities Division at the College of Information Technology – University of Fallujah is committed to providing a motivating and safe environment that supports the development of students’ scientific, technical, cultural, and athletic capabilities, and contributes to refining their leadership, research, and social skills. This is achieved through organizing quality programs and activities that promote creativity, innovation, volunteerism, and institutional belonging, in line with technological advancements and labor market needs while serving the community.
Objectives:
1. Developing the student’s integrated personality through scientific, cultural, sports, and social programs and activities that build self-confidence and enhance responsibility and discipline.
2. Promoting technical creativity and innovation through competitions, exhibitions, and digital initiatives that develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
3. Developing leadership skills and teamwork by involving students in organizing and managing events and student activities.
4. Supporting academic and research excellence by organizing seminars, workshops, and training courses that raise students’ scientific and professional levels.
5. Promoting a culture of volunteer work and community service to strengthen citizenship, belonging, and social responsibility.
6. Linking student activities to labor market requirements by hosting specialists and experts and implementing practical training programs in modern technical fields.
7. Discovering and nurturing student talents in technical, cultural, sports, and artistic fields.
8. Activating partnerships and cooperation with academic departments, government institutions, and the private sector to support quality programs and events.
9. Promoting a culture of quality and institutional commitment in planning, implementing, and evaluating student activities.
Tasks / Responsibilities:
1. Preparing a comprehensive annual plan for student activities in alignment with the goals of the college and the university.
2. Organizing and implementing scientific, cultural, artistic, sports, and technological activities inside and outside the college.
3. Supervising the formation of student teams and groups, guiding them, and following up on their work.
4. Organizing competitions, tournaments, exhibitions, and technical hackathons that foster innovation and creativity among students.
5. Holding seminars, workshops, and training courses that contribute to developing students’ scientific and professional skills.
6. Coordinating with academic departments and administrative units to ensure integration of activities and achievement of objectives.
7. Representing the college in activities and events organized by the university presidency or relevant external bodies.
8. Documenting student activities and preparing periodic reports and statistics.
9. Encouraging active student participation and strengthening teamwork and institutional belonging.
10. Monitoring activity evaluation and measuring their impact on developing students’ skills and improving the quality of programs provided.
